08-21-07 Former President of International Paper Realty Corporation with more than $2 Billion in land sales is newest member of Silver Companies team

FREDERICKSBURG, VA AND BOCA RATON, FL – August 21, 2007 –Silver Companies  announced today that Len Ronnie will be Vice President of Acquisitions for Silver Farm & Timber Co., LLC.

 Ronnie has sold more than $2 billion worth of land in his career, comprising more than two million acres.

Ronnie spent 37 years at International Paper, moving through the financial ranks to the position of Corporate Controller. During the last 23 years, he served as President of International Paper Realty Corporation and personally handled large timberland transactions, the largest of which were $520 million and $905 million and each consisted of more than 300,000 acres. An example of the eight super-sized transactions handled by his division is Carolina Forest in Myrtle Beach. When the project is fully built out, more than 70,000 people will call Carolina Forest home.

Ronnie most recently served as an independent consultant, and recently sold a 52,000-acre project in Huntsville, Texas for $121 million.  His new charge will place him on the other side of the fence, finding land (versus selling land) for Silver Farm & Timber Co.
